Overview
CDR Pivot Reports let you look at Asterisk CDR data in a Business Intelligence form. The data gathered from Asterisk CDR log files (Master.csv*) is processed and broken down into fields. It is then aggregated to be made presentable in a pivot grid.

CDR Pivot Report Types
CDR Pivot Reports commands are available from the “main menu” and “most used commands” parts of the application’s main window, the “Pivot Reports” command.
There are six types of report configurations:
Asterisk CDR Calls Pivot Report
Asterisk CDR Trunks and Channels Pivot Report
This reports also contains trunks and channels. This example shows 4 distinct channels (channel field is filtered) and their relation to top 5 trunks, displayed by a pie chart.
Asterisk CDR Channels Pivot Report
This reports is just like CDR Calls reports, but it also contains channels. The example below shows top 5 channels (by count) organized by week days and displayed in stacked bar chart.
Asterisk CDR Trunks Pivot Report
This reports is just like CDR Calls reports, but it also contains trunks. The example below shows top 5 trunks (by count), organized by the destination context and displayed in stacked column chart. Destination context field is filtered.
Asterisk CDR Contacts Pivot Report
This reports is just like CDR Calls reports, but it also contains contacts (they were gathered from CDR caller ID). here you can see number of calls per contact distributed by hour, in a stacked area chart.
Asterisk CDR Phone Numbers Pivot Report
This reports is just like CDR Calls reports, but it also contains phone numbers(they were gathered from CDR caller ID, source or destination fields). On the example below you can see my own Asterisk reports for phone numbers, organized by a summary of call duration and count of calls, split by week days, and I’m only including incoming calls (direction field is filtered). The report is displayed using line chart. The number on the top is my mom

CDR Pivot Fields
You can find more information about SAM Reports 2 fields here. In this section we will list all CDR pivot fields:
- Quantitative fields (Fields that carry numerical values to be placed in pivot grid’s data area)
- Date and Time fields (Fields calculated from CDR log file’s date-time parts)
- Calculated fields (Fields calculated using source and destination information from CDR log files)
- Element fields (Fields that hold channels and trunks, as well as Caller ID interpreted data)
- Descriptive fields (Fields holding destination contexts)
