This help file is for the old version of SAM Reports. New version brings more reports and a lot of new features.

There are new help files for Settings for the new version -> SAM Reports2 :

In order to make sure that all the settings are correct and present, below is a list with screen shots of what they may look like.

If you are getting the error message:

“‘Some settings that are required to perform the parsing operation are missing. ‘Please fill the settings ..”

Things to check:

  • Settings/Options window : below is a screen shot of all needed settings  filled out.
  • Registry : if you are still getting this error you may look at your registry.
  • Log files: check if Asterisk log files are in the application data directory

Make sure that “PBX” and “International” prefixes are filled out.

Local Options

“Local Prefix” cannot be empty.

Country Options

Your “Country Code” and ” Short Code” must be present.

Asterisk Options

“Login” and “Password” cannot be empty. “Host IP address” or “Host Name” must be present. If host name is to be used then “Use Host Name” must be checked.

Everything you enter if the settings window is written in registry. You may want to check the registry if the error message : “”‘Some settings that are required to perform the parsing operation are missing…” is still present when you try to process the files.

SAM Reports Registry settings (Start -> Run -> regexit.exe) are saved in this location : “HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Token / SAM”

When you start the application it will show you whether all settings are OK, in the “Home” area.

If the log files are present then both “CDR log” and “Queue log” will be checked.

You can also check manually:

  • Go to you application data directory : the path to the data directory is displayed in the registry on the figure above, and also in the about box, in the figure below
  • When you open that directory look for the files “master.csv” and “queue_log”
